How is the Metabolic Balance program different from other diets?This isn’t a diet. It’s a personalized framework designed just for you, based on your blood work and health needs.

How long will it take to see results?Many clients notice changes within the first two weeks, and results build over time with consistency. If weight loss is your main goal, you will lose 5-8% body weight in the 1st 16 days and then 1-2% per week until your goal is reached. This can mean 8-16 lbs in the 1st 16 days and 1-2 lbs per week after that.

How does the results guarantee work?If you follow the program as directed—eating the correct quantities and adhering to the Metabolic Balance rules—I guarantee a weight loss of 5-8% body fat in the first two weeks and 1-2 lbs per week thereafter. If you are not achieving these results, I will continue to coach you until you do. This may include food logging, additional coaching, or a referral for further blood work to address any underlying factors.

Can I claim this through my health benefits?Yes, if your policy includes 'nutritional counselling' or you have a health spending account, you may have coverage. It is your responsibility to check with your insurance provider.

Do I have to follow the plan exactly?There are 4 phases to the program. The first 2 phases (16 days) is meant to have strict adherence. In the following phases, we start adding in extra foods and having 'treat' meals, so you don't feel deprived. When you reach your health/weight goals the plan can be further relaxed.

Will this program help with symptoms other than weight gain?Absolutely! Can I do this program if I am on medication, have a health condition, or am pregnant or breastfeeding?The Program is not suitable for all individuals. If you are pregnant, intending on becoming pregnant, or nursing, the Metabolic® Balance Program is not suitable for you. Metabolic Balance® is unable to create meal plans for persons with severe renal or hepatic insufficiency, people whose BMI is less than 18, or vegans. If you have any physical or mental medical condition, disorder or disease, or are taking any medications, you are responsible for discussing the weight-loss program with your doctor before entering into the program.

Do I need to exercise during the program?During the 1st 16 days of the program it is not recommended to do moderate to high cardio, or strength training. You can go for walks, do gentle yoga, or tai chi, etc. Exercise is not needed for weight loss, but it will be a topic of discussion.

Will I be hungry all the time on the program?No. The Metabolic Balance meals are well-balanced and the majority of my clients stay satisfied from their meals for 4 to 5 hours or more.

Do I have to eat specific foods?Yes, but these are everyday whole foods you can find at any grocery store. The foods chosen on your plan are to replace nutrients you are lacking, to reduce inflammation, and to get your body balanced.

What if I have dietary restrictions or allergies?Plans are customized for individual needs. When I request your personalized plan I will note any dietary restrictions or allergies.

What if I don’t enjoy cooking?It will be important to prepare your food or have someone prepare your food for the 1st 16 days. It doesn't have to be complicated. Many meals can be made that don't require much prep work. For example, yogurt with berries for breakfast, hard-boiled eggs with carrots and crackers for lunch, and canned fish with pickles and rye bread for dinner...no cooking involved. 😀

What if I travel or eat out frequently?For the best results, it’s important to follow Phase 1 and Phase 2 closely. During Phase 1 (2 days), it’s ideal to stay home and avoid travel. In Phase 2 (at least 2 weeks), refrain from eating out or traveling if possible. After this, we’ll adjust the plan to fit your lifestyle. Many clients have successfully traveled for weeks or frequently dined out for business and still achieved great results by sticking to the 8 rules and proper portion sizes.
