I'm Jennifer Edwards, and my journey with weight loss started at the tender age of 13.

 

The struggles I've faced with my weight in the first three-and-a-half decades of my life have shaped my passion for helping others rediscover their vitality through balanced nutrition and personalized wellness.

Transforming Lives Through Personalized Wellness

My Personal Journey

At 13, I was overweight and felt uncomfortable in my body.  I got to the point where I felt like I hit rock-bottom and decided to do something about it. Through changes in my diet, daily walks, and a magazine-found exercise routine, I lost 30lbs in just three months, sparking my love for the transformative power of healthy eating.

Due to my genuine love for food, I encountered ups and downs over the years, especially after the birth of my second child. Dealing with postpartum blues and a significant weight gain, I explored alternatives to medication. Counseling and group exercise became part of my routine, but it wasn't until I aligned my diet with my health goals that anxiety melted away, and the pounds followed suit.

I intimately understand the challenges of maintaining a healthy weight – the love for food, the mental hurdles, and navigating dietary needs for different life stages. Recognizing that a focus solely on weight loss often leads to setbacks, I shifted my perspective to prioritize overall health.

​

My personal journey fuelled a passion for nutrition, leading me to graduate with honours from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition in 2013. Since then, I've remained dedicated to continuous learning, committed to staying up to date on health and weight loss advancements.​

​

In 2021, I became a certified Metabolic Balance coach, drawn to its personalized approach. Having tried numerous fad diets, I appreciated that this program focuses on achieving weight loss and health goals simultaneously. The tools I gained from Metabolic Balance not only helped me reach and maintain my desired weight in my late-40s but also transformed my overall well-being.
